Well, it snowed a bunch. This city goes apeshit when it happens: so vastly under prepared. It was nice though, not too cold, magical settings etc. etc. On a more interesting note, guess what I just did? Roasted my own coffee beans! Awesome right? It was super easy. Which makes me wonder whether I fucked something up, but I'll taste test tomorrow and see how it went. Either way, here are some pics.

Snow and Beans

How did the taste tests go? That is pretty awesome. Learning new methods of doing shit for yourself is always awesome. A friend of mine claims his friend grows his own tobacco, which I didn't even think was possible in this climate.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are aware those aren't kernels of corn, and if they are...you burnt them.
Are you sure he's not growing tabaccajuana? Taste tests were impressive, more I think to do with the freshness than the actual roasting, but it is definitely on par with anything I've bought, better than alot of it and way cheaper. I think we'll keep doing it. I'll bring you a sample at x-mas. When are you guys out again?
